Grace + Matt traveled all the way from Ohio, USA to Maui, Hawaii for the honeymoon. After getting married June 14th, they decided to book one more opportunity for photos. Knowing that the married life starts soon, they wanted a few more pictures in a place that has so much history. They chose MayaCPhotography, a mother + daughter team from Georgia, USA to capture these sentimental pictures.

The Session

The location we chose was stunning. With Maui mountains to our right, and beaches to our left, it allowed us to have a variety of photos.

We chose a vintage editing style to really tie in the emotions of this session. In years to come, their children will look back at these pictures and see memories. Memories that Grace and Matt shared on their honeymoon in Hawaii.

These moments don't last long. You only get married once. You only honeymoon once. Most people don't even get the opportunity to see Hawaii & it's true colors. Take the pictures.

About Maui, Hawaii

Maui was such a magical place. My family & I took the opportunity to see Maui and it's people. Not tourist traps and large vendors, but the actual natives. We experienced seeing the absolute heart break of Lahaina, and what was left after the fires. We always shopped local, and supported that community. It was devastating to see all the hotels and resorts rebuilt, but not the homes or shops of the locals. There were locals living in tents & campers in their own property, but with no sign of a home ever being built there. They have lost everything, some even losing family. Over 100 people lost their lives in the fire, and many more were affected by the fires. If you have the chance to visit, please do. Go and support the people who have not been able to rebuild or grow.
